The Four Domains of Wellbeing provide a comprehensive framework for understanding the various factors that contribute to an individual's mental health and overall well-being. Biological Domain

Psychological Domain

Social Domain
The Social Domain relates to our relationships, environments, and socio-economic factors. It includes the impact of work, family, and social interactions on our well-being. Cultural factors, socio-economic status, and the quality of our social environments are also part of this domain. The social domain highlights the importance of connections with others and how our surroundings influence our mental health. Healthy relationships and a supportive environment are critical for maintaining well-being.
Spiritual Domain
The Spiritual Domain focuses on an individual’s connection and belief in a higher power, deity, or authority, as well as their sense of morality, purpose, and meaning in life. This domain is not limited to religious beliefs but also includes a broader sense of spirituality, such as feeling connected to something greater than oneself, having a sense of purpose, and living in alignment with one’s values. The spiritual domain contributes to resilience, providing individuals with a sense of hope and direction, particularly during difficult times.
The Interconnectedness of the Domains
These four domains do not operate in isolation. Instead, they are interconnected and continuously interact with one another. For example, physical health (biological domain) can influence emotional well-being (psychological domain), just as social relationships (social domain) can impact one’s sense of purpose (spiritual domain).
